The moist heat of autumn is not conducive to good health. Seasonal foods with sweet, bitter, and astringent energy can assuage the Pitta dosha. Millet, radish, and ginger should be avoided as they are highly alkaline in nature. Avoid hot, pungent, oily, and fermented foods such as yogurt, soy sauce and alcohol.
